Title: Caravan Transport Port Macquarie to Perth
Post by: leachy_9 on October 20, 2023, 10:37:34 PM
I'm purchasing a caravan located in Port Macquarie and need to transport it to Perth. Any suggestions for reputable companies to transport would be appreciated
Thanks.

Is it registered and in a roadworthy condition or does it need to be put on a truck?

We used a boat transport company at Yatala in Qld to bring our van from Adelaide back the the Gold Coast.   They transport all over aus I believe.

I used Jay Cee Ess Global to get my 12' van from Sidney to Perth. Door to door service, they picked it up about an hours drive north of Sydney and delivered it to my place in Perth. it cost $2190.

cheers

I'm purchasing secondhand. It is currently registered but will likely be unregistered for the trip as I can't transfer the rego into my name without a NSW drivers license, which I don't have. So it will either need to be trucked or towed with a trade plate /permits.

Why can't they sell it registered and when you get it back home then it's a matter of getting a RWC and whatever other certificates too and then put it in your name with the new plates from your state.

It's the same as buying a car interstate.

I believe that with a van, camper or car you can get a permit to transport. It must be carried with you and has a start date and arrival date on it. Allow a few extra days on the permit for any issues along the way
