Nice idea....   I might borrow it for my setup. ...

Have a custom piece of zipperable canvas; 3mtrs x 2.9mtrs off the end of the aussie traveller awning...

A 305cm Supapeg gavl  spreader goes through a sleeve at 2mtrs....

So how do I attach the (flexable) 1mtr lengths of LEDs??....    Get some C things - that I can push over the canvas sleeve holding the galv spreader; ..slightly tensioning the flexable LEDs in the process. ..   fixed   :)

Not shed but house Reno...grabbed some gyprock sheets from Weekend Warrior World this morning (only needed an extra half dozen and the place is a few minutes drive away, much much closer then getting direct from the suppliers)...got home and sheeted the ceiling and walls in my new office. Been pretty slow with the build as I keep putting it off all the time, but glad to get to this stage as I know it's the easy work from here to finish it off...which will likely be next year now...lol

Helped a mate who bought a 4.5GU for a weekend toy..
Fitted shocks/springs, 2 3/4in exhaust to the Pacemaker headers it already had, ran a flush through diffs, engine etc apart from g'box that's next week,
Fixed some wiring, melted some wiring, fixed the air intake routing that had miles of tape on it for some reason... airfilter ($100 odd for genuine 4.5 airfilter!), then after runnin flush/kero through things we changed all oils

What a long **** of a day, but he's happy now and should do him well for a while :)

I hooked a few computer case fans together, fixed some magnets onto them. This way I can add some airflow to the Engel on hot days, to help the compressor a bit.
Only draws 0.2amps.

I bought a 2nd hand generator on Friday, so dragged it up to the shed to clean it up and give it a service.
I gave it a clean with the pressure washer and sorted out a few things that will probably see it go for another 20 years. It got an oil change, then I looked at the pressure washer and figured it could do with an oil change.
While the gear was out I greased and changed the oil in the ride on and then the 30 year old push mower, it had only been changed 5 years ago, but while I was in the mood, why not?

The Mrs came up to see what I was doing.

Started setting up D22 for some solo touring. Can't be stuffed towing camper so just swagging it.

Rear seat out, bench installed and Waeco CFX 50 fitted. Should have gone a 40. Didn't look that big in the shop. Tight squeeze through the door.

Fitted my 80w solar panel that used to reside on my old 105 series roof rack, onto the canopy of my 79 series. Best apart about this set up now is, the carry bars of the canopy and roof rack sits higher then where the panel now sits, so I can still use them both for work without the panel being in the way like it used to be  8) Should have planned the install better though, Weekend Warrior World reemed me $62 for a 3mtr length of 50x25x3mm ally angel to do the job...that's the problem with buying stuff on a Sunday to do a job I guess.

Just in the last couple of days I have been getting stuck into a small project.
How to get water from a Creek/River/Dam, to use for washing etc.
I started by consulting with a friend about his effort.
I purchased a pressure switched pump from a Caravan accessories outlet.  And I purchased a BEST water filter to go with it.
A Shurflo pump 12V 5.5Amp. with a lift capability of 1.5 to 2.0M and a head height of at least 6M., flow rate of 11.3Lpm.
A nylon/teflon cutting board 300Wx400Lx10mm.
Various hose fittings, an in-line irrigation filter (similar to the ones on the Tvan, only bigger) and a roll of 6mm wire (pair in a sheath).
And an air release valve for irrigating things.  It gets the diaphragm removed and some lead added and becomes the pick-up.
4 door stoppers (for the feet), packet of small diam. bolts w/nuts, and a couple of the spring steel tool holder clips you screw down (to hold the filter).

Question: How much hose length would be needed/good to have, for the run from the pump to the trailer?
The answer 'However far you are from the water', is unacceptable.
I just want to find out what others have found works.  I also don't want to be dragging a B-triple to cater for all the equipment.

Just have to get a box to keep it in now.

I use a piece of hose about 6' long and a jerry can for the supply.

It's not often you can get a camp site close enough to good water to pump directly from, but it's easy to fill a jerry can from any creek, bore, or tank and carry it to your camper.............just sayin, that's what works for me.

I have a 30 metre long hose that I run from the creek to my tap. I have tapped a double 6mm square wire every 500 mm along the hose with anderson plugs either end , this becomes the power supply to the pump from the camp trailer.

Thanks for that.

Duggie, did you include a non return valve in your system down near the pick-up in the water?

I'm sure there is a comment/suggestion about getting rid of some other dead weight by you sleeping in a swag instead, but being nearly Christmas I won't go there mate!!

In my shed (well next to it) I was working on my new (to me) small square baler. Seems to be working ok, just need to service the knotters and should be good to go.
