Did Warner think he was playing a limited over game.  Great start but....
He'd have feel like a goose wouldn't he?
Only Aussie batsman to miss out on a century ????????????

With the Windies at 6/91, he's not going to have to bat again either...

not looking like he will get a second chance.

On a trivia note, has there been another test where four batsmen reach a century in one innings?

Around 20 times.  And in 2005 both Sth Africa and the Windies got 4 each in their innings.

From the news this morning...

Four Aussies scored centuries in their first innings: Joe Burns (128), Usman Khawaja (144), Steve Smith (134 not-out) and Adam Voges (106 not-out). This was the first time in history Australia has registered four centurions in an innings on home soil.

They last saw four batsmen reach triple figures in an innings against England at Cardiff in 2009, when Simon Katich, Ricky Ponting, Marcus North and Brad Haddin all tonned up. The only other time that HAS happened was in 1955.

600+ runs for the loss of 8 wickets yet wasn't really that entertaining.

And yep, KP can retire now.

Exactly what I said to my wife.

The Wacca pitch was a road, that offered very little for the bowlers, just like the recent test match.

8/619 off 100 overs didn't really do it for me. The game wasn't particularly entertaining, however I have been watching a fair bit of BBL5, so my expectations might be a bit high.

I would have rather a nail biter trying to chase 230 - 250 runs, on a pitch that offered the quick & spin bowlers a chance at turning the game.

Australia were probably lucky to get away with the win, after using a couple of young bowlers who got smacked around, and Bailey being caught off his 1st ball, but given not out. We could have been given an absolute hiding.

Was at the game last night for our annual boys trip. Was great to see a vocal Indian crowd go home disappointed!

Yes it was good to see Maxwell keep his head and actually play mostly 'proper' cricket shots, he deserved 100 though.

He has actually been batting and bowling well in the BBL. Probably there for match experience as well. But yeah Bailey must have p!ssed somebody off...

Yep, would have been deep in it if Maxwell had have fallen early. He is actually a really entertaining cricketer even just playing normal-ish cricket shots.

Probably felt this game was more entertaining because it was closer.
