Gidday from Brisbane
« on: February 14, 2014, 04:58:12 PM »
I joined up after falling over a series of blogs with photographs in the Forum about a member fitting out 12volt electrics in his MV's canopy.  Amazing work, so, here I am.
Looking forward to having time to browse subjects of interest to me, especially cost-effective and practical solutions to repairs, maintenance and improvements to my little Jayco Penguin Camper Trailer and Prado. Not being a sparkie or auto electrician, I'm amazed with what is possible.
I'll look and note how members make Outback travel in their "swags" more reliable and self-contained.  My current interests and solar power, controllers and batteries.  Also researching how to supplement the meager water provided in the Jayco with obtaining and filtering sometimes turbid water from Western Queensland's scant water sources - billabongs, creeks, rivers, dams, bores, etc. This will longer times as a self-sufficient camper in the Outback.  If there was only a way to make diesel from goanna, and road-kill!!!
Usually travelling solo, I have no desire to become another statistic.
I look forward to reading some of the quality articles.

Welcome aboard. Tis a nice place to stay awhile & shoot the breeze (or campfire smoke if you have coverage at your camp)
