Hi All,

I am LB's other half (I wouldn't say better  ;D).

Thanks for all your wonderful feedback, we cannot wait to actually order the new CT in about three weeks, then the eternal wait for delivery.

I am looking into 4WD clubs in the North-West of Sydney. My main criteria is that I do not want to destroy my car, rather have fun and get to know other like minded people and their families. I have been told the TLC is good but it can be hard to get on trips because there is so many members so a smallish club would also be good.

Any suggestions?

Im shure that there will be some Myswag members doing something up that way once the weather warms up.  That means that LB will have to spend heaps of hours on here checking out whats happening/coming up  on the trips & touring reports section!.

Hi Mace,

Please don't encourage her, she already spends enough time on the forum :D

G'day & Welcome Bunyip.

There is The Hills Four Wheel Drive Club which meets near Baulkham Hills or Blue Mountains 4wd Club a bit further afield.

I have gone a couple of times to join the TLCC so that my wife can participate in the driver training but they meet in Benalla and life is too short to go to places like that ;).

The Sydney and lower Hunter members of this forum used to do a lot of trips, but we've not managed as many of late. We have done a few though; Mt Walker, Zig Zig, Newnes and Capertee. If you're keen post up a suggestion and I'm sure you'll get a few keen folks. I love to get out for a drive or a camp.

Big Jules,

I would love to, probably more day trips at this stage (Cricket season is with us).

I need to join a club for the training, I have only had "on the job" training to date so look forward to learning how to use by Cruiser properly.

Day trips are fine, as I don't have a camper at present either I won't have to gaze with envy at your KK whilst I zip my swag.

I'm sure we can get a small group together for an enjoyable trip.

Oops, I have slighted a town in Victoria to which I've never been. They actually meet in Berala in Sydney.

Thanks britts,

I think the Central Coast is probably a little far for me.

There are a couple closer to home I am looking at, Bungarrabie and Sydney District 4x4. Hopefully both are at Eastern Creek later this year.

I think it is more important to take my time and join the right club, rather than join a club in a rush.

Have a look at the 4wd association website for affiliated clubs, I think it's www.4wdnow
