Hello from carolyn and paul
« on: March 20, 2011, 08:46:35 PM »
We have been looking at this forum for a few months and have decide to join in . After several years of tenting we purchased a jayco hawk outback 3 years ago. Have since become a manic jayco hawk modifier .We have done many short trips in SA , VIC and NSW but have always wanted to stay away longer . Since the adult children will not leave home we have decided to leave . First stop some work in Leighcreek SA. We look forward to joining in with the myswag community .

Hi Guys & welcome to Myswag, a good combination you have got ( a builder to fix things & a nurse to fix the builder when he breaks). Hope to catch up on the tracks sometime.

You are my heroes.  I got 4 of those things that don't leave home (eldest 28 who bounces back down to an 11yr old).  I've told 'em that when they are old enough (could be next year as the 11yr old is quite mature - TIC) if they don't leave then I will run away.

Enjoy your travels, I'm envious!!!!

Thanks Timneva for advice . I have discovered the problem was the setting on the camera . Now just need to rephotograph mods at a different setting  and all should be fine .Thanks again for all the welcomes .

Hi Oldcroc+1
The roof vent will hopefully put positive pressure in jayco and keep dust out . It is yet to be tested.
The outer vent was from a boat supplies shop and the filter was from supercheap . They are connected
 with standard plumbing fittings.

Hi disco  thanks for the welcome .
The campsite in the photo is at the Montocollina bore rest area  halfway up strzelecki track.
In the middle of the desert but was just like camping at the beach.

Welcome to Myswag from the waterlogged far north!
I was turning green with envy when reading you have taken off on your big adventure. Well done!
We bought our first camper a few weeks ago and still waiting for a chance to get out there and use it.
Have both managed a few days off next week, so as long as the weather can manage to stay relatively fine, we're off somewhere for a few days. Can't wait.
Enjoy your trip and your time on the forum.
Look forward to seeing your travel pics.
Cheers

Hi Carolyn and Paul,

Welcome to MySwag...Looks like a fantastic set up you have..Like the idea of the vent to pressurize the van..Hope it works ok for you.

Cheers
