From N.E.Vic G'day

G'day everyone,    Fantastic that you reduced guest access to this great site, it will force long time lurkers like me to consider their options. So I have signed up.                                                                                         My wife [Robyn] and I bought our first 4wd in 1979 [a two stroke suzuki], then in the mid 80's got hold of a bedford bus and converted it to motorhome. So in 1988 the family spent three and half months to do a Lap in the Bus with suzuki sierra parked in the back of it. This trip whet the appetite for more exploring a bit off the beaten track. This was done in a wide track sierra towing a custom built trailer for the first couple of trips. A small hardfloor DIY camper was behind the suzy for the next 10+years and my wife and I explored lots of Australia. The camper has completed in excess of 80000kms and is still in the family.                       After a vehicle upgrade much bigger[and softer ] a bigger camper [soft floor] was built. Two big trips later we decided a soft floor was not our thing,so a new build was started, a hard floor. In a few weeks this one will be finished.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          But no matter how many builds you have completed there always new things to learn, and sites like this are full of brilliant ideas from some really smart members.                   Kerry
