On a day that should have been R&R, I spent the morning cleaning the man cave and then ripped into a kitchen spruce up in the arvo.  Not going the whole hog like timetogo, just a quick and cheap tidy up to get rid of that 80's look.

Re-laminate the benchtops
Paint the dark veneer doors in oil enamel (off white)
New handles
New splashback
New stainless steel rangehood (free)

It was a giving day today........

I gave to my family by shovelling 5 metres of mulch around the gardens
Then a mate came over and we wired up his dual battery systems.

Started raking at 5am and finished at 10.30am. Start the db at 1.00pm and just finished.

Beers now...........

Took all the wrappings and such stuff to the dump and put a $12 fan together, sat on my arse and felt it get a little bigger as it was too hot to do anything else.

Spent yesterday painting in the shed.

Washed, sanded and laid on 2 coats of primer to 24 cupboard doors, both sides!

Finished up a little after midnight.  37 degrees in Melbourne and I decide to paint... Idiot!

6BS in split conduit now run from engine bay to the rear wheel arch along the outside of the LHS chassis rail.
Two holes in front section of rear wheel arch to give access for wiring to the 'secret compartment' under the rear seat.  From here 6mm wiring will go to the lining of the LHS quareter panel, to power the fridge and a 'triple' cigaret lighter - all hooked up via Anderson 'power poles'.

Fixed  son in laws Stihl Whipper Snipper. First time I have been caught out with a carby on a small engine. This one had a loose welsch plug in the carby that was stopping the bulb from priming it. Once I glued it in with some locktite and gave it a few taps with a pin punch to tighten it up, it primes and starts first pull!
