Poor bugger, but what's the bet too much speed and no seat belts contributed to his death. Be hard to roll several times at 40kph.

Yeah, it's not far from here. It's a nudist beach, and whenever I have been there it's the nudist of the wrong sex  :'(

I agree, very sad to see a loss of life especially so young. But geez how many tourists are getting killed driving on beaches and obviously not wearing seat belts and/or speeding or driving stupid.

Hi all i was always told when driving along a beach not to go near the water line as the sand is soft with water ,he may have started to feel the vehicle lose steering and over reacted and rolled ,also speed and not wering safety belts may have been a contributing factor ,i have seen this a bit where not only tourists but all kinds of people speed along the beach i dont understand why ,it is not a sealed road so why would you increase your speed who knows what happened just sad to see someone lose there life this way on holidays ,if the attitued doesnt change about the way people drive on beaches you know what is going to happen ! :police:

I didn't know one could drive on Samurai beach. I thought it was walk-in only, because of the clothing optional approach.

I've been wasting all my time on Stockton.

I was involved in patching up the tourists that were involved both of the Fraser Island rollovers that occurred 2 weeks apart - both incidents had fatalities. Most the tourists involved, ended up with a helicopter ride to Qld's biggest hospital.

It was hard enough consoling their grief, let alone the grief of the deceased's families. And even worse when the police visited to lay charges over the deaths...

It bought me back to reality, on  how dangerous sand driving can be, and how much more dangerous it can be, if sharing the beach and surrounding environment with drivers of poor or little 4 wheel and beach driving skills.

Beach fatalities are tragic, regardless of the circumstances. RIP.
