Howdy!
« on: June 26, 2012, 04:12:56 PM »
Hi everyone,

We are a family of 6 (the 4 kids are between 8yrs and 2 yrs) and we LOVE our CT. We've only had it since October, but have used it a few times and been busy adding extra mods to it! Started out getting an Ezy Trail - 7leaf with shocks, 60L water tank, elec water pump wired in plus all the other usuals and of course the big-cahoona tent!. Now we have a 100L water tank, 4 jerrycan holders, Oz hitch, stone guard, elec brakes and dual batteries charging from solar panels or car.

We have both loved camping since we were kids, but as number 3 and 4 children came along, we barely had enough room in the car for people let alone camping gear! So we realised the need to tow and a CT it was! As with many of you on here, we have a Prado - 2003 Diesel.

Have been on a few trips - Carnarvon blowholes, Useless Loop and Horrocks, but our biggies is in 5 days when we set sail for the Gibb River for a month! Travelling from the Midwest (Mullewa) in WA we'll take a week to get to Derby, then 2 weeks to Kununurra, then another week back home.  We have been scouring these pages over the past weeks and months gaining all sorts of incredibly valuable info - thanks so much!! So now it's time to give a bit back! Some time after we get home we'll figure out how to post pics and will also be able to report on the road conditions and camp sites for anyone else who wants to know.

Anyone else gonna be up there in July?? Any last minute tips/tricks before we go?
