We are a Dairy farm in the North Burnett area and have been seriously flooded
These guys have been helping restore fences to contain stock they are a great bunch of people really well organised
and work tirelessly for nothing more then a conversation a bit of smoko and lunch
i can not speak highly enough of them we had a farmers dinner with them last night
there moto is they are here to stay as long as we need them
it is something i would like to do down the track

go for it hargs

cheers

The wife and I we were part of the original BlazeAid effort. We spent a week and several weekends in Narby and Marysville after Black Saturday. I was on the chainsaw clearing properties and the missus was cooking in the kitchen at the Black Spur pub. There was carnage all around but it was great to help out.

Hi hargs
Last may we helped at a camp near Wagga .
We just turned up on the day and they were very welcoming and organized . We camped overnight and went to the 7am muster  where we were signed in , given breakfast and equipment and assigned a property nearby to work on . Morning tea and lunch supplied by the property owner . You work at your own pace and any help is much appreciated . We spent the day clearing debris from fences and vines in a vineyard . At the end of the day dinner is supplied back at camp .  The campsite had showers and toilets and power if required . We will defiantly be doing it again soon .
Cheers Paul and Carolyn

Well buildermidwife...........you were only an hr away from us in Tumut if you were in Wagga !
We had big floods here early last March, and Wagga certainly was really affected.

all the feed back seems positive so will pencil it in .................

I kindof thought I may be able to use some nursing skills too..........I'm thinking that you are a nurse Carolyn ? but I guess its cooking or hands on around the fencing.
