G'day from Macka
« on: April 19, 2011, 04:53:56 PM »
G'day, I'm Macka from the Central Coast of NSW.

Have been camping with tents since I was a young lad, but have moved up in the world.

I have three kids, ages three, one and one (twins) and we had got to the point where our Disco won't fit all the camping gear and toys we need for a trip away.  The wife wanted a trailer, but I wanted a Camper Trailer so I won't have to sleep on an air bed ever again.

I recently got my greasy mits on an old Sar Major Camper Trailer.  The Canvas is thicker than Pauline Hansen, so it'll last.

This long weekend is the first time the whole family gets to sleep in it.  I hope SWMBO enjoys it, because I think we're going to do a lot of camping this year.

The tow rig of choice is a LR Disco V8 with a Unichip for added goodness.

Anyways, i'll take some pix of our setup this weekend for everyone's approval.

Cheers

Macka

Welcome to Myswag Macka.
Hubby and I have upgraded recently to a camper trailer after decades of tent camping.
Have now had 2 outings with it and absolutely love it.  It is so easy now with the trailer always packed ready to go, so all we need to do is throw in the food and clothes and off we go.  Great!
Enjoy your time on the forum and have a great Easter weekend with the trailer.
Cheers

Mod List is short for the moment.  Just LED tail lamps, LED lighting in the tent, some PVC Pipe for the Annex Poles and figuring out the best way to carry water for the moment.
