Hi from Adelaide
« on: April 06, 2011, 09:33:53 PM »
Hi, I've just purchased a 1984 Jayco Dove Campervan which is in need of a bit of TLC. This is my first campervan and being new to it all I am hoping this forum will help me with my new project.

G'day & Welcome.

Yours is not the oldest one around, I'm pretty sure Singo-26 has an older Jayco. Good luck with your project.

G'day Kyle, my son-in-law has the same model I think, and they came away with us for his first test run. One of the pop-top winch wires broke and fortunately I had a piece of wood about the right size to keep the top up. We found that 2 of the wires had been replaced with larger wire, so he is going to increase the size of the other 2.

Best to check your wires (or carry a small piece of wood with you) ;D
Cheers Glenn
