Go check out the game fishing club.
Can't recall the name of the pub it's part of but the beers cold, the foods cheap and there's some great history and fish specifies on the wall.
Alot less back packers than most of the joints right in town too

Not up that way , but if are having tea out the Italian restaurant near the park is unreal . We stayed at Lake Placid CP just after New Years and loved it . Enjoy your time there.
Cheers.

Send a PM to "Teabag" (he lives almost next door), "The Casey's" and "Bill"

We had a great get together at the Red Beret.  ;D

Mind you, i'm much more likeable than you, as I don't have ahead like a dropped pie.

Yeah Boofhead,

Get out to Herberton, you'll score a free coffee and a chat with some nice locals and I can recommend the hysterical village.

Well worth a look, but allow plenty of time.

If ya do go, see if you can smuggle out the 1934 Packard Limo on display for me please.
I've still got a horn over that car.

Also sent a PM to xcvator this morning-no response as yet, probably enjoying the sites of Cairns or at The Big Boys Toys display that is on this weekend.

Anyway always ready for a drink or 2.

Have just returned from having a lovely afternoon with xcvator and his wife.  Lots of laughs about adventures had and ones still yet to have.

I was worried when Keith invited David into the bedroom but he returned safe and all smiles (must have something to do with the solar panels)

Anyway just so you all know, they passed with flying colours (for Victorians).

Hope to catch up with both of you again somewhere on the beaten track.

Morag and I were just 2 minutes down the road from you fishing on Saturday morning.
Then 30 seconds up the roAd from you having breakfast at the resteraunt.
Guess I should check here more often.

Actually we use 1 letter. Just 4 times to make sure we get the annunciation right ????
