Howdy from Perth
« on: July 15, 2014, 10:29:41 PM »
Hello all,
I've lurked on these forums for a while, garnering great advice from the learned folk on here.
Took the plunge and bought a used Camprite TL8s in Perth - a few years under its belt, but in great nick.
We've got a young family and love the idea of having everyone inside and off the ground.
I'll be towing the Camprite with a Prado 150 and already have some extra Prado wheels to equip the trailer with - got great service and advice from Camprite here in Perth too, I should add.
Thanks all for all the plethora of info on here, I hope to contribute myself soon too.
Cheers,
Joe

Hi Joe, welcome to the forum and also to the Camprite family ! We have the TL8s4-2 and love it. Might see you out and about some time. Better get the pics of the camper up so we can recognise you.

Cheers

Thanks for the warm welcomes from all.
Whilst we sort out some appropriate storage for our purchase, the original owner has been kind enough to keep it garaged for us. Hopefully pick it up in a few weeks and will post some pics.
Cheers again!

Righto, we have the beast! Picked it up on Friday, headed off on Saturday for an easy overnight at Guilderton Caravan Park, WA, which is on a ripper spot at the mouth of the Moore River. Great for a "first try". The boys (3 and 1) thought it was great - the portacot even fits on the sides where the single beds are, which is perfect for the bub. Loved it! Setup and pack up times will come down, I'm sure! If you see us out and about, come and say hi.

Fitting the Prado wheels soon, and then my mods will begin - motivated by Broady's amazing efforts with his TL8s. Will start my own thread... Cheers.
