Sunset time journey planner
« on: February 06, 2014, 05:29:35 PM »
Hi folks,
Last year I came across a fantastic link to someone's well designed trip planner that allowed you to put in sunset times, distance travelled, km p/h, and approx rest time, and the spreadsheet calculated what time you need to leave each day in order to get to your destination a predetermined time before sunset. Sadly I didn't save it and now can't seem to find it anywhere.
Has anyone heard or seen anything similar?

Sorry, I just do it all old school and write it out for each trip.

Would be interested to see it though.

Harricrew, when we are on the road, we try and find a camp by 3pm, either free camping or somewhere else. You're on holidays and no rush.  We find 3pm is a good time, to stop, flip the CT and happy hour arrives.
Hope somebody has the document for you. ;)

Set camp before Happy Hours is the point of each day  ???. You don't need to make things to complicated as there is a lot to see on the way between breakfast & laughternoon tea . No Rush , Never plan your trip from your desk at home . Plan your trip as you go , then you wont miss as much as you would with a hard & fast time table . Plan to go to  X via   Y but be prepared to also see Q along the way .
You can go your own way . Treg Up & Make Dust
