I've got a long list of odd jobs to keep me amused around the yard, but for now I'm holed up in the comfy chair in the shed turning 100l of mash into "hand sanatizer"  😊

Hope you get to drink some ?
Here for a good time, not a long time!

Took the dog for a walk yesterday.  Went past a bloke in his front yard washing out a large stainless and copper still.  He also is going to start making hand sanitizer...probably like quite a few..

Yep, reflux. Dad made it about 30 years ago. The boiler is a 15l birko tea urn. Takes around 2h per brew. The first 25l is done and got just over 4l of 90%, so the 100l should produce around 17l of 90% which I'll cut to about 35l of 40%. Works out to around $6 a litre 😉

I try not to laugh with people stressing over being in a lockdown situation.

No one likes having control taken away from them and their behaviour shows. People need to understand that short sharp pain is better than long prolonged agony.

We have been working remote for 5 years. Isolation does not worry us. It is what it is.

Mark

I'm much the same.  Prefer a bit of solitude, juat a bit anti-social in part thanks to my previous work.

However also thanks to my previous work, I know different people react differently to different situations.  The results cover the full spectrum from utter brilliance to something being wrong on numerous levels.

My bride suffers bit from S.A.D.  (Seasonal Affectice Disorder) even just after a couple of days on constant overcast days.

https://www.beyondblue.org.au/personal-best/pillar/in-focus/feeling-sad-seasonal-affective-disorder

While SAD is different to the current situation with 'Isolation' and 'Social Distancing' the affects can be similar.  For some they will enjoy it, while others will struggle.

https://www.verywellmind.com/cabin-fever-fear-of-isolation-2671734

As time goes on the novelty of isolation wears off and other emotions etc take over people can have adverse reactions.

Apart from your concerns of Coronavirus also be aware of your mental health.   This can have a flow on effect and become very unhealthy not just for yourself and others you are living with as well.

Prefer a bit of solitude,

This one's apparently been doing the rounds on FacePlant. I have to say I agree with every word! :-)

TRAFFIC is gone, LONG QUEUES are gone.

FUEL is affordable, BILLS extended.

KIDS are at home with their FAMILIES, PARENTS are home taking care of their CHILDREN.

FAST FOOD replaced by HOME COOKED MEALS, hectic SCHEDULES replaced by NAPS.

The AIR seems CLEANER, the WORLD QUIETER.

PEOPLE are conscious about HYGIENE and HEALTH again.

MONEY doesn't seem to make the WORLD GO ROUND anymore.

And WE now have TIME, finally, to STOP and SMELL the ROSES.

Finally We get to see woman's real eyebrows and hair colour

It seems like this COVID-19 is a RESET BUTTON for HUMANITY!!!

Because I'm lucky enough to still be working full-time, albeit from home, I have to live vicariously through my wife and son. Today they  finished redecorating his music room/man cave  :D
