Binnaway (in) NSW, and don’t expect to get home for just over another week.
Mid west NSW is as dry as I have ever seen it😢

Lightning Ridge.
Saw 2 actual emus in a paddock between Dunedoo and Lightning Ridge. Even the road kill was months/years old, in this stretch! One farmer must have read the weather forecast incorrectly and scarified a couple of his paddocks. His topsoil was 2ft deep along his fence line, creating a huge dust issue for both his neighbours and passing traffic.

The smoke hasn’t been too bad so far, but came down through the west last week and making our way back up the coast this week.
As soon as it stops pissing down rain here we’ll pack up the tent going to check out some beaches around where the fires have been for the next couple of days.

Canberra. First visit since a schoolboy tour in 1968.

Not much is familiar so far. Which is pretty probably not surprising.

London. The only campers I’ve seen are those without a home who sleep in alleys and doorways.
