Not sure If he will win 24 straight like his sister, but would be great to be in for the ride.

Having known Luke Nolen since he was a teenager and seen him develop into a great young man, I hope some other up and coming young jockey gets a similar break.

Helsing's progeny continue to reach astronomical levels, I think Kevin Sheedy has a share in her?

Wasnt he just the 'half brother' of Black Caviar?

My half brother is a numpty, hope the right genes run in this horse. A syndicate of 12, at $416,000 each.

How long till you see a return on your investment?
Why do people ask "What the hell were you thinking?"
Obviously I was thinking I was going to get away with it and not have to explain it....

Yeah, he's half brother to BC, which in thorobred lingo means same mum, different dad.  But this yearlings dad is statistically better and has a better record (as a sire) than BC's dad.  So far anyway.

If the colt turns out to be an early 2 year old runner he could be making money by November / December this year, but being as valuable as he is, (and his true value will probably be at stud, not prizemoney) the wise move would be to wait until he matures before starting him.

They will have a pretty good idea later this year how good he is likely to be though, even if they dont race him till mid / late 2014.

Cheers

" 'could' be making money by end of this year or mid /late 2014."

So how long till he starts returning a profit on initial outlay and daily expenses till then?

JGM well explained.
He wont make any money until he races so it is a long term investment with some risk (Pinker Pinker). The real money will be as JGM said at stud.
Its not called the sport of kings for nothing.
