ADVICE NEEDED - Mattress For Camper Trailer - Sydney Area
« on: November 08, 2010, 02:49:43 PM »
Would like those of you around the Sydney area for feedback/advice on mattresses.  Looking at getting a new one in the CT and have read some previous discussions on MySwag but have found a lot of people have mentioned places in Qld or Vic.  Would prefer to get one from somewhere closer to home. THANKS!

Cheapy or a good one?

I bought my last QS matress from Fantastic Furniture for $190. Hell of a lot better than the concrete foam one that came with the CT ... then put a nice foam over-lay on it! Total cost $206.

Just like a bought one!  ;)

You could have a look at the offerings at Clark Rubber. They have various options in material, firmness, etc.
Our camping mattress is/was the deluxe foam one. Great for staying in one place(moving to and from tent). The CFO is making sure it will fit into the new CT.

If you're talking foam matresses, we bought from Clarke Rubber years ago, and I couldn't believe the variety of matress densities which they had to choose from.

We bought some memory foam overlays (with removable covers) from Ikea.

If your after a foam style mattress i would suggest try google/ing foam manufacturers in your local area. Clark rubber is just a reseller. Go straight to the manufacturer try maybe joyce foams they have a online store but i am sure there will be others close to you.

Its a bit heavyer than other s but its Oh So Nice to crawl on to . You cant live like a pig in the bush all the time   ;D

We are also from Sydney, but I bought our inner spring mattress from Made-to-Measure Mattresses in Brisbane. They delivered for a minimal fee. I had visited the factory when in Brisbane and was really impressed. They make mattresses designed for campers. Ours has been excellent, I now get a good night's sleep when camping.

If you want to have a look you would be welcome to come over sometime and check ours out (PM me if interested).
