Hi,
there is a mob down here in Devonport make slide in lazy axles, but it winches in to the chassis at a couple of ton and lengthens the tray and increases the GVM. They are about $7k I think. These things are quite substantial, and are marketed at things like freeing up a cab chassis fire truck for multiple uses.
cheers

Hi,

Lots more info at their website Link  (http://quickhitchsystems.com/)

I was quite interested in this system for a ute to carry a slide on but decided on a Landrover - it would have been ridiculously long on a 130 Defender.

cheers

Hi,
I'd be interested in what it would be registered as, you are effectivly changing the vehicle configuration from a 4 wheeler to a six wheeler and then back again, or is the slip on classed as a trailer?
I can see in certain applications it would be good
cheers
