Been getting these notifications for a few days now.
Never had a Bitcoin and never Googled them, but the email is from
Outpayment <nieuwsbrief@mails.nedrlndnieuws4.com>

 and has this message

"This is an automated message
regarding your balance in
the Bitcoin Code.

Your payment is ready !

Thank you for your interest in our Bitcoin program.
We want to inform you that your Bitcoin bonus is now ready to be paid.

Account information
#5470eBTC:
Country: Australia
Balance in Bitcoins: $ 7380,67

Account expires: 10/01/2018"

Looks scammy, especially a value with a comma instead of a full stop between the dollars and cents, but I could use the $7380 if it was real.

Dream up something improbable , like it enough times on the Web , give it a perceived value . Then release it to the either & let it rip  . There has to be  " Silly Over Cashed Folk  " out there that will snap it up . Given enough momentum it will roll itself along nicely .

Further to the post i made about the eBay scam on the 2013 Jayco, turns out the name they are using is a real person in Qld & the scammers sent a copy of her DL which she had provided to them a couple of months ago..I tracked her down through Facebook & messaged her...i let her know what's going on & I'm the 4th person this week who has messaged her about this. ouch, talk about Identity theft....

Not a scam as such, but

Last thursday the combank app on my phone alerted me to a $5 transaction on my credit card to the smith family in Sydney, so whilst I'm looking up what it is the app tells me that I've just spent $399 at David Jones in Sydney umm nope not me so hit the block card function on the app straight away.

Ring combank and explain that the $5 and $399 are not me, and that they need to cancel the card straight away, guy at the other end of the phone is great and does what needs to be done, whilst talking to him he asks " did you just use your card for Myers online?" umm No and then he says "well I'm guessing you haven't just tried to set up a new paypal either then" um no

Anyway I made a note of the transaction numbers as they showed on the app and after a phone call to Myers and David Jones I now know what the gifts I bought myself are and where they are getting delivered!!

Hi richo9923

Could you please report this event to Acorn?

https://www.acorn.gov.au/

The Federal Police etc will look in to it as well and share information with other government agencies who might be looking at the perps.

Cheers

This morning at 6:00am I went to a carwash and put $1 of my hard earned into the vac machine to clean up my Ute.......... It ate my money and gave me nothing.

Three phone calls this week advising that we were involved in a minor car accident and they are investigating the deatails and we will be liable for an excess payment , if we don't pay the excess we will have to pay all retired costs.
When we have asked what vehicle, accident details etc, they hang up.

The supposed Telstra tecnhnicians and problems with your computer are now giving telstras phone number if you ask where their calling from. Trying to legitimise their scam

Have had similar things happen twice now. First time, somebody got my credit card details via wotif when we stayed at Port Douglas. This woman booked accommodation, flights and then decided to order a bunch of applicances and electronics from Harvey Norman. All up over $10k. Rang the hotel and they were able to tell me her name and the address she used to make the booking. Passed all this onto to westpac, they refunded my money and probably sent the boys in blue to check out her new stuff.

2nd time it started as a few small transactions I probably wouldn’t have noticed but then they got greedy and again spent up to the card limit which is when I noticed. Again westpac were very helpful and sorted it quickly.

Was just cleaning up the inbox on my "if I really must give you an email address, you can have this one that is full of junk and I rarely check it" email.
I generally don't read anything with Apple on it, they have nothing I want and all their emails go straight into the junk folder, but this one caught my eye.

Perhaps because it is "URGENTS"..... ;D
