Fitted the stone stomper. Hopefully that's the last of the big jobs before the Cape trip.
Nice bit of kit, what sort of money are we  looking at might be something for our new toy when we get it.

I finished building a box that will sit on the dash of my GQ Patrol (The Old Girl ) , I needed to tidy up some switches and fit another gauge.  Will post up some more photos in my build in a couple of days.

Box made and holes cut in for gauge and switches.

Box wrapped in Grey vinyl.

Switches, gauge, radio and brake controller fitted in place.

There's no way that can is going to keep sitting there without a holder of some sort!  :D  >:D

Seriously for a moment though - how do you fasten the box down - just screwed to the dash?

Obviously looked around for something to use, and looked in the 'junk' pile 1st   :P

Attaching to the dash? I'm guessing the 3 holes down the bottom front and back will be used to screw it to the dash, then the centre fascia will cover the screws. But thinking the rear screws would be a bastard to do!

Looks good Duggie....was thinking of doing similar for a double din stereo, but no good at welding, and nothing to fold the metal sheet with, so I used wood  :)

Always put a beer in my photos, kinda like a signature. ;D

I will screw it down with 3 screws along front and 2 screws on each side. Not going to try to hide the screws, adds to the rustic look of the Old Girl.

This came about because of the new gauge , this is a double pressure gauge for the rear air bags, switches on either side either raise or lower the air bag pressure.

Cleaned down the work bench and loaded the new drum of cable on the feeder. Prize packs on their way for the POTM winners of late

Also remembered to hang out the awning on the 200 after knockers, luckily no mould, drying overnight

Nothing big...but necessary.
Bought a new radio/cd/USB player a couple of weeks ago to replace the dead one in the Pajero. Spent a couple of hours copying some of my favourite CD's onto a USB and pondered whether or not I should also copy ALL of my CD's for future convenience and for safe keeping.
Still thinking about that one as its a bit like watching paint dry.
Cheers

My wife's car is exactly the same. Most women's cars I've been in, it's the same.

Shoes, rubbish, shoes and all sorts of crap every where.

I'm minister of housing, maintenance, gardens and transport. Except her car. I refuse to wash and clean the inside of it.

Its just outside the man cave, I did a spot of gardening >:D.

I had to wait for the rain though, ground was like concrete last week.

I did some of that last weekend and snapped the drag chain in half, no damage done, a bit more digging and out it came

yesterday morning i drove the wifes car out onto the driveway so the torrential downpour could wash it for her, she's been saying for weeks now she was going to do it. I could barely see out the windows the other night as i reversed out our driveway, even made that comment to her about it  ::)

I may know off a car which was traded in after a drive home after a poker night with the boys which a smell could not be removed, even at 100km/h with ones head out the window it still made it back in the car  :-[

i know that smell well...not long after the misses got the car (brand new it was), she had a bottle or carton of milk spill from the groceries in the boot coming home from shopping. She didn't mention it to me and hid the fact it happened. Even over the following week or two when i kept asking what is that smell in her car, she kept playing dumb making out like she didn't know what i was talking about. Eventually after a while she fessed up to what happened but said she'd "cleaned it up".... i then removed the carpet from the boot and then the spare tyre and found all this congealled milk sitting in the spare tyre well  ::) ::) Once that was cleaned up and half a can of Glen 20 emptied into the boots carpet, it was a much nicer smelling car to drive.

Spent the weekend making a couple of brackets for the 200. One for adding a couple of circuit breakers to the BCDC after melting the 20amp fuse holder! WOrking well now and charging the second battery.
Second bracket holds the ARB diff breathers. Hopefully the rear line is far enough away from all the hot bits!

A good way to spend a crappy weather weekend.
