Tentworld
« on: May 09, 2016, 09:18:59 PM »
Hi guys/gals

Im looking around at an OzTent RV4 and come across TentWorld on ebay and was wondering if anyone has bought from them before?

They are about $300 cheaper than most bricks and mortar shops and even with one of the big players announcing a 20% off sale, they are still cheaper with free delivery.  This makes them a very viable option :)

Cheers
John

Tentworld are a camping store here in Brisbane, they have 2 bricks and mortar stores that I know of...I'm guessing they are the same dealer on eBay?

I buy most of my camping stuff from tentworld, great store and knowledgeable staff. Much better than the bug retail chains IMO.

Pretty sure their Toowoomba store is their online distribution centre.

I have bought heaps of stuff from their stores, not online.  Good service, good prices.  Their warranty has also been good on a Coleman HWOD I had issues with.

Tent world is good but look at Snowys , they were cheaper than tent world a few weeks ago. They are located in Adelaide but prices include free freight Australia wide. Both are same price at the moment , I would buy from both shops

I have bought plenty of gear from tentworld. I have always found them good. They have an online store if you aren't happy with eBay.

As Rumpig mentioned we have 2 stores in Brisbane and I’ve bought a lot from Tentworld over the years and on average they are a little bit more expensive then places like BCF/Rays, but I’m happy to pay the small difference due to the fantastic advice.

But Tentworld have a couple of sales per year which gives fantastic discounts on some of the more expensive items.

One of my mates bought a Blackwolf tent from Tentworld and after 12 months he had a small issue and only wanted it repaired under warrently. Took it into Tentworld and they negotiated with Blackwolf for a new replacement tent instead. Fantastic result and my mate was over the moon.

Agreed - good little business to buy from.   We bought our fridge from the Browns Plains store.   The guy was amazingly patient while we ummed and arred about a 50 or 65 ltr Waeco.   Not pushy - just went through the pros & cons and left us to our own.    They are only 10 min or so from us which is handy but their online prices and sales are good.
Vacation Camper & McTavish surfboard - what more does a guy need??

Broke a small fibreglass pole in our Oztent ensuite the other weekend.  My fault, operator error.  No problems for Tentworld to get a replacement from Oztent fur me.  Three days.  Try doing that with the big chains.  Would take three days just find somebody in the store who new what an ensuite tent was  :D

Agree.  I live in Adelaide so i shop at snowys but have also bought from tentworld.  I've found both stores consistently have the lowest prices.  Either way you can't go wrong.

You can't beat Smowys!

I had order troubles from tentworld and after waiting 4 days I canceled the order.

Go Snowys
