No issue mate. Burnsy on here did it first so I bugged him about it. Just choose one with a short probe or it will hit the larger roasts.

Do they do the job as well as the heat bead Weber? We use our full size Weber for all roasts & I've got my doubts about gas V beads?

We have the baby Q 100 got from frequent flyer points so the price was perfect. We are a family of three but usually travel with friends who make a total of seven. No problems cooking for all concerned. It fits in the front boot of the Jayco Dove with a bit of a jiggle, so suits us well. Will be looking at the thermometer mod though sounds like a great idea.
Cheers Derek

We got a Baby Q 100 with the high lid and thermometer from our nearest Weber retailer in Brisbane and are really pleased with it. No trouble in doing a bbq for four or five adults. The meat is beaut, and only takes a few minutes.
Because we got it from the Weber retailer, we then got 5% off all extras - stand, cast iron hot plate, bag, stainless steel pan, 3 metre gas hose with bayonette fitting.
We're currently on the road and get it out when we're camped somewhere for a few days. So far it's cooked roasts, bbqs, cakes, scones.
The Baby Q 100 is great.

We got a 200 thru Frequent Fliers.  Couldn't get the 220 otherwise I would have.  Have to be a little bit careful about roasts touching the top of the lid.  I think I'll put a temp gauge on it soon, just for peace of mind.  We've got 2 adults and 2 kids and it was meant to be our new home bbq.  Having said that, we have taken it camping last couple of times and it's great to be able to do roasts and damper etc.  It barely fits in the back of my Paj with the shelving I've got, but it's a nice luxury item.  It would be good if you could get a half grill, half solid plate for them so you could do fried eggs etc. Sounds like the new models have that?

just use the teflon bbq sheets mate, you can get a thicker one which i use for eggs. you get grill marks on your eggs :D and easy to clean.. i use them for everything on the bbq, makes cleanup a breeze.

So what you are saying is that Burnsy has a short probe?  >:D

Looks like the new weber 100 (1000) will have the ability to also use disposable cylinders....
And they now have
Porcelain-enamelled cast iron cooking grates
And they now have
Split grill so you can have half grill half hotplate

Might be worth waiting for the new model.
