Title: Counting down to CT fun
Post by: biodave on February 22, 2018, 04:11:22 PM
Hi all,  Sue and I are just counting down until our Camper Trailer arrives in Adelaide so we can get mobile.   The Cub Traveller is "in Manufacture"  but we don't really expect to get our hands on it until after Easter :'(

Its great to read through all the advice and recommendations from all the experienced hands out there as we plan;

At the moment we are planning our midyear  trip to the Center, unfortunately  as a teacher, I hit the road at the busiest times so I have to plan a long way ahead to get spots in camping grounds.

Good on ya Dave, hope you enjoy the Cub, they're a great camper. Don't need everythin to start with, you'll work it out as you go. We are always changing things, trying something new or some new way of packing ;D Talk to others when your out, sure to pick up plenty of tips

Cheers, b1

Welcome Sue & Dave
 Congrats on your CUB . You will Write books about your day to day travels to be read by those that wont ever  try .
When you travel North ,,,,, up the Stuart ,,, do turn Left at Kaulgra road house toward Fink  ( or what ever its called now )  Make your way to Lamberts Center of Australia  .
Collect fire wood along the way , spend the night in the Center of Australia  .
Chamber Colom is another place not far away to also spend a night  .
Both are well worth a visit to at least say they are chipped off your Bucket list  .
                                   :cheers:

Thanks for the welcome, we will take it slow with the fit out, no doubt we will get frustrated with the velcro poles  that seem to cause annoyance but we will have time on some weekend jaunts close to home to test things out
