Another level of complexity and money grab for the government. This is a reaction to the death of a pedestrian three years ago after being hit by a high powered vehicle in which the driver lost control, collected the young girl and crashed into a restaurant.
I tend to agree with this form of licensing , not a lot different to trucks.
Its a $50 online course, plus $10 admin fee, plus $60 for the actual licence once you pass the online course.
Same government is also putting in to legislation that overseas trucking licences will have no validity in SA and new licence testing will need to be conducted.
thats a waste of effort... I'd be in favor of a proper course where they have to PROVE they deserve it.this is very valid after speaking with few mates who are still going up the highway, and seeing them trying to just ... just drive straight let alone reversing into a building.. Should be a rule nationally.
