Sitting in Maleny, enjoying a cold beer.

Knocked over 1100kms today in just a little over 13 hours, with another 900kms to travel tomorrow.

Very impressed with the Patrol getting ~11.5l/100km over the trip up from Sydney, including the roadworks on the Pacific highway. Massive improvement over the 18-19l/100km I get around the city.

Hidden Valley park in Kununurra.

Run down old dump full of filthy back packers.  I drew the line at dirty fly blown dishes left lying around one site. At least management acted promptly, but still rubbish blowing around, and it looks like a tip.
(Not all backpackers are filthy, just the few who give them a bad wrap).

The park here is.... Not what I expected.  Very well maintained and presented.... Front lawn and entrance, then a run down dusty dump of a park packed in like sardines.
Amenities are filthy, not just, not cleaned today, not properly cleaned ever, certainly not regularly.
Not all, but many sites are like dust bowls.  Long weeds growing along site boundaries, haven't seen a mower this season.
Not much effort needed to make it a little more presentable.

There are some really good parks here in Kununurra, this is not one if them.

Good views, which I can see from the road, but that's it.  I will not be coming back here, and not recommending it.
