G'day and welcome to the forum Collygirl.  Glad you could join us.

A bunch of myswaggers had a great time around Alice in June/July this year.  You live in an amazing part of this wonderful country.  I can't wait to get back out there and do some more exploring.  Would
love to spend more time in the East Macdonnels, like Ruby Gap.  Only did a day visit this time but would love to camp for a while next time.

Happy camping

Hi Collygirl,

Im in Alice. Spent a fair bit of time on here after getting a older CUB last year from the buy swap sell facebook site, spent a bit of time cleaning it up and got great ideas and help from many people here. Now I visit every now an again, Im dreaming about upgrading the 4wd so Ive been looking at what other poeple are driving from the site.

Not the best time of year to be camping out up here, best of luck finding your way around the site.

Cheers
Matt

Welcome to Myswag,

If you have ever wondered what the surf looks like and would like to meet lots of fellow MySwaggers, get ya backside to the 2015 Nat Meet at Rainbow Beach.
Check it out in the Trips, Tracks, Touring and Reports section. Towards the top of the page.

Hi Matt,
I went out to Rainbow Valley the other day and got some awesome photos. I'm going to head back there after we have some decent rain. Ruby Gap I haven't been to yet, but need to get out there too. Palm Vally is probably my favorite place up here. What sort of 4wd are you thinking of?

Rainbow Valley is a great spot, I am hoping that we get some rain to fill the clay pans this summer. I have not been out to Ruby Gap, its on the list, However house renos mean we don't do many short trips, save up and head out further afield.

I test drove a Isuzu MUX last week, it was very nice. I was driving a DMAX for work a while ago and was very impressed with the engine& gearbox, the station wagon would keep the minister for finance happier than a ute!
