It's time

Mitch Marsh puts heat on Shane Watson with ton

http://www.smh.com.au/sport/cricket/the-ashes/mitch-marsh-scores-another-preashes-ton-20150701-gi31ax.html

My bet is that as an incumbent Watto will get first shot.
Which means it could well be his last test for Australia.
I'll make an early call for watto lotto & back him to score a century in the first test

Taking carrying the drinks a little too far...

Unfortunately not the first Aussie to get in trouble for drinking on a pommy tour....

Sad news for Ryan Harris. One of the best consistent bowlers the Aussies have had since probably McGrath. He was fun to watch with bat in hand too!

yep I think its a bigger loss than we realise. with the flat pommy tracks we needed a clever bowler with plenty of experience. hopefully Siddle with his County cricket experience can step in/up and fill the void?

When looking at the numbers, Harris has been one of Australia's best bowlers in any era.

A great loss.  Looks like pat cummins is taking his place... Not sure about that on flat wickets...

Yeah I am not sure Pats going to play think it's more for experience and backup. They will start with MJ, stark, hazelwood and Lyon.

legend...

http://www.foxsports.com.au/cricket/australia/ryan-harris-career-stats-put-him-alongside-legends-of-australian-fast-bowling/story-fn2mcu3x-1227430164196

In his News Corp column, Michael Clarke used the example of Harris bowling Australia to victory in the deciding Test against South Africa last year as one of the best ways to sum up just how good a bowler he was.

“I knew he was injured, I knew he was buggered and already booked in for surgery, but I walked up to him and said, ‘Ryno, I need you to bowl from the top end.’, Clarke wrote.

“With his knee busted and his hip banged up, Ryno said ‘mate, I don’t know if I can even get to the crease’. But we were desperate, and I needed my go-to man.

“‘Well you’ve got two choices,” I said. ‘Either you bowl, or I’ll bowl.’

“He took one look at me, and demanded, ‘Give me the ball.’

“With his first delivery, he bowled Dale Steyn, and on the third he crashed through Morne Morkel’s stumps. The game was all over and history was made.”

When the pressure was on, Harris was able to deliver. That will ultimately be his legacy.
