Accommodation in Canberra for family
« on: July 20, 2015, 01:20:38 PM »
I'm after accommodation in Canberra region for family of five on Thursday night. We are passing through on way to the snow so not camping this trip.

Any recommendations for cabins, apartments etc. are appreciated.

Thanks
Any

Don't know your budget but we stayed here on our way to the snow recently. Nice apartment.

We usually stay here when in Canberra. Not the cheapest but undercover gated parking (can get my 2" Lift Prado in), rooms are nice size, with kitchen and dishwasher. Also restaurant if you want. The family rooms have separate rooms with a shared living area. 3 singles and a double both with ensuites. But you can get the 2 bedroom units with 2 singles and a rollaway bed.  Prices are on a par with other hotels in the region. Nice and central, 24 hour check-in.

We stayed in the Manuka apartments. We had to go to the office and collect the keys then go to the apartment. This was a bit annoying after driving from Brisbane to Canberra in one day. I'm not sure if that is the same for all the apartments but would check if it is a problem, as you have to return the keys to the office in the morning. There is a key drop off though.

We just got back from Canberra. We stayed at Alivio Tourist park. Easy to get to, close to everything and was well priced. We had a cabin that slept 5.
