ABC trailers?
« on: April 24, 2014, 12:16:09 PM »
Just having a look at some of these: www.abccampertrailers.com.au

They are based in Cairns and state that the trailers are Aussie Made- the pricing suggests differently. I imagine Chinse shells assembled in Aus?

Anyone know of them and if they are 100% Aussie? Anyone have one and can comment on their ruggedness? For the price you get a hell of a lot which rings alarm bells for me.

Cheers,

Why don't you give them a call and ask them?

To be considered "Australian made" these days just means it has to land on Australian soil.

Why not ring them and talk to them.

I did and yes confirmed Chinese shells put together in Aus. They look fairly solid all the same but the bright yellow no name Indy suspension concerns me. At least they have used webbing straps instead of chains.
Think I will keep looking.

I have looked over them in depth. Imported and local made bolted together here CT. they ised to use Tough dog suspension, maybe not now.
I thought the finish was a bit ordinary and bought a different imported CT much cheaper elsewhere.

I have gone over them in Cairns and thought the finish was average..

when I was there they seemed to have had couple of young blokes (teenagers) assembling them..

When they first came out I drove around the corner and looked them over, I was not impressed.
But as the years have gone they have taken peoples criticism and advice on board and are coming along nicely.
They still have a little ways to go but if they keep listening they will get there sooner rather than later.
