Craig, I'd have a hunt around for some old conveyor belt rubber. Try a quarry or similar establishment.

If you can get polyurethane, I brought a set of rally art poly when I got my car in 2008, they have seen over 40000Kms of
gravel road and have no signs of wear.

Thanks gents I was after stuff around 4mm thick with a bit or reinforcing in the middle if I could get it, I only need 1m square , Steve Conveyor belt is too thick and heavy for what I am doing, I mite go to supa cheap or Autobarn and see how much there pre made ones are 30 x 50cm size is all I need, then 4 bits 1m long and 15cm wide bits to do around the 80s wheel arches, Craig

Insertion rubber is pretty weak. The internal reinforcing is only cotton.

and see how much there pre made ones are 30 x 50cm size is all I need,

I remember seeing these at a local truck spares place here on the GC for about $20ea a couple of yrs ago, maybe worth checking for a truck parts/accessories place nearby and see what they are offering.
