From another site....

"Simply attach this item tracker to your keys, cell phone or wallet to easily locate lost items in the TrackR app. The tracker uses Bluetooth 4.0 to connect to your compatible mobile device up to 80'. Find out-of-range items using crowd GPS when others walk by it."

Crowd GPS. Might be handy for the odd little thing that doesn't stray too far, but not much use for a car or camper IMO.

Great little gizmo! I use it most often to locate my phone around the house, and works perfectly for that

What does he use to run the app?

Good question.
You press the button on the trackr and it will cause a sound to come from your phone.

Why not just use find my phone from another device?
Here for a good time, not a long time!
