I have two BlackVue I think Dr 600 & dr 650 without going out to have a look. SD card packed up on one of them after a couple of years or so. They must be at least 10 years old by now. Haven’t touched them since I retired 7 years ago. Wow maybe they’re older than I thought. I did capture an event on one once & was showing some customer’s the next day, didn’t know one of the local constabulary had walked in & was looking over my shoulder. Said they would be interested in looking at that. They took the whole Dashcam, with my permission. When it was returned the cop said that’s a good camera. The bloke got done for overtaking 7 vehicles on a bend & forcing a car off the road that was coming the other way.

Nice to have, until you need it to back up a claim!

Viofo have always had a good rep, & my A119 is still going at most of 10 years!
That's one of the ones I've been eyeing. You get clear footage Fizzie?

I have 3 of these, 70mai 1S D06.
https://70mai.pl/en/produkty/dash-cams/
I did post awhile ago that the one on the 80 series, lost sound, apart from that one all 3 work well.
This mob as a few new models, the price is high, especially for the 360d one.
I've them reliable, good picture, voice control. I have installed a 128gb sd card in each of them, I do once a month reformat the sd cards.

Bird, the choice is yours, I happy to have in our vehicles, there are many brands on the market.

You don't use magic to disappear, ya use a 4x4 & Swag.

Asking the same question myself right now. It was definitely a plus when I was driving truck into Melbourne every day but now days I tend to avoid high traffic places with passion. I had a Blackview but it failed to capture the deer that wrote off the triton for some reason. I'm off to WA in July with the camper but will travel through Melbourne and Adelaide at night to avoid traffic. Still, I'm trying to justify getting a dashcam. And if I do, which one. Not much point having one if it doesn't capture number plates clearly. Quite frankly, I'm bitterly disappointed with the quality and reliability of crap these days, regardless of what you pay for it.
 I'll be watching this space.

Question: Are dashcams nice to have - or a necessity these days?

my expensive BlackVue DR750S-2CH Dash Cam the main front camera has gone to god. Apparently "common". FFS

So do you buy a cheap Shit one and have blurry images, buy another $ one - or dont bother... FwiW I never needed the footage for anything in the past.

Smart move by Elon to rollout the supercharger network to flog Teslas but there's no economic case for them long term as he would well know-
https://www.msn.com/en-au/money/news/tesla-axing-its-supercharger-team-puts-the-entire-industry-in-the-dark/ar-AA1nWeuT

So he gave away Tesla's NACS charging protocol for free and now most of the carmakers are adopting it as a Standard. Ultimately all EV owners have to share a ubiquitous system and rely on taxpayer handouts to fund it. Consequently public charging will always lag EV sales with city congestion and severe shortcomings in remote and regional areas. Meanwhile Toyota San chuckle as the long order book keeps rolling in and they hybridise their complete range while the EV lossmakers scramble to do likewise to stay afloat.
