G'day All from Rockhampton CQ
« on: April 21, 2014, 10:44:38 PM »
G'day All,

Just back from a week away at Lake Murphy, near Taroom, Qld
Was introduced to the forum by a very nice couple from Brissy, whose names I cannot remember

So I thought I would jump in and have a look see around.

2006 Pajero, and a relatively (only used twice) new camper from a local firm, Castaway Campers. Full off-road setup on the trailer

Gidday mate, welcome.

You have some great areas up that way so looking forward to your travel stories.

I think you will find there are a few members in Rocky.

G'day Mark & welcome

Some really nice spots down that way (I grew up halfway between Yeppoon & Emu Park, and still get withdrawal sometimes  ;D)

I recognize you from AP, so  I know you wield a mean camera. We'll look forward to plenty of wonderful trip pics  ;D

This applies for the Lake Murphy trip you cam back from.  I looked it up and sounds like a good place to chill.  Any fish?

Thanks everyone,

ozstickman, there is no fishing at Lake Murphy, even if there was water in the lake, which there wasn't, and obviously hadn't been for some time.

I forgot my birding lens, so photos of birds didn't really happen, too damn hard with a 70-200, I will post a few images up in a trip report shortly
