Title: Safety Certificate
Post by: mickkez on February 08, 2015, 03:45:13 PM
Hi Swaggers

Looks like I may have sold my camper to a fellow in SA. My question is, do I need to supply a safety cert with the camper? Not sure if SA needs one or not.

I know I need a gas safety cert.

If you sold it in Qld then you are obliged to supply both, if the owner is taking back to sa then I would say that is up to the buyer..

My understanding is you only need a safety certificate for registration.  If the buyer is not going to register the CT in Qld, they will need to source their own safety certificte in the state they chose to register the CT.  I don't think safety certificates are transferable across borders.  But I could be wrong
