update...
The back dam is only a foot from full and going over.
The front one will take another 2 feet yet.

So what happens when they top - you start getting wet feet, or is there a creek to take the overflow away ???

The back one just runs down the yard.... nowhere near the house.
The front one feeds the water channel next door that runs into Atkinson's Dam that we back onto.

Yeah - 2 days ago we were sitting in air-con, heading out this morning at 4.30, I was thinking I should have put something warmer on! :D

my daughter was still swimming in a mates pool today though, so the cool morning gave way to a cracking day. I was high pressure washing corrugated iron before, was refreshing getting wet from the spray.  8)

Nothing today.
Nothing yesterday.
Nothing day before
4mm day before that.
6mm day before that.

Laid 50m of plumbing in the ground.
Redid the overflows on the water tanks.
Built a 10m2 deck and half done the handrails in the last 5 days.
Will probably mix up a couple of wheel barrows of concrete and install the stairs up to the deck this afternoon.

No shortage of Sunshine in this part of the Sunshine Coast. ;)

I gave our firefighters pump on the dam a tune up yesterday because of the fire danger.

Was popping and farting and getting hard to start.

Back to one pull and its squirting again.
When ya on acreage, it pays to  be able to keep a fire at bay if ya can.

We were booked for ocean beach on Bribie from this Sat to Wed but that's been canned by Parks. I can't say I blame them.

Sounds like a win, the issue with booking somewhere like there is that the weather can turn to crap but you have already paid up. If the weather is crap (too blowy) then they might have done you a favour.

But it costs $250+ for annual beach permit so you need to figure that in.
$6 for the site is almost too good a deal. You generally need to book weeks in advance but when you get there you often see several empty sites....so maybe people just book them so they have the option to go but forfeit $6 at most if they choose not to.
