I've got 12 acres, with private sites, more open sites and sites overlooking Turtle Bay (our dam)

Except we could do with a splash of rain to green the place a tad..... its a nice outlook.

I decided to celebrate Easter and my birthday last night by going camping. I must remember not to camp with both jack and Jim, me head hurts today, but the German cheese sausages at midnight went down a treat.

Wow, that brings back some memories. I camped there quite a bit 30 odd years ago. I recall being camped on the crossing in the mid/late 80's when that thunderstorm cut the Bathurst race short.....and flooded our tents. Great days those. I have many fond memories of Sofala, Hill End and the Bridal Track.

Cheers and thanks. I just had 2 chicko rolls that have perked me up considerably. Pretty warm again here today, so no doubt more hair of the dog later, just a bit more subdued than last night.

Funny I was about to post about my camping trip in the outback. out the back.

Exclusive site.  I headed up the hill and pitched the swag and lit the fire.

First night I was in the swag and my daughter in her tent. Second night they both came up to start and  joined me for a movie by campfire. When it was over they left me on my own. Didn't worry me.
The company was great, I agreed with everything I said.
Bird, even the rain and wind n the middle of the night didn't worry me.

The Chico Rolls even come with the proper sleeve so just like buying from the shop. I had one for lunch today also. Don’t mind as a weekend lunch once every 6 months or so.

It is now we knocked over 200 cocus palms down. Looked like an 80's resort before.

Excellent work :cup:

When we moved in to our current place, there were 38 palms, ranging from 50' tall Alexandras down to bloody Chinese Fan Palms.

Funnily enough, over the next few years, every last one of them sadly got sick & died, so had to be removed for safety reasons

Never did work out exactly what the problem was ??? ::), but believe they turned out to be severely allergic to that particular blend of 2-stroke exhaust fumes that comes out of a chainsaw exhaust! >:D
