Well done to Lowndes and Richards, they drove a consistent race.

Pretty uneventful race all up.

I just heard some yelling up here in Tin Can Bay....

I think it was Roland Dane chatting to Whincup and pointing out the error of his ways down there at Bathurst.

The Lowndes 888 car has been impounded.

Everyone is using a 650HP supercar engine, but 888 was running a 3.7 litre V6 Jeep engine and that's just not fair to the others.  ;D

Just curious if others recon Lowndes is better than Brock? I know he is yet to overtake Brock's 9 wins at the mountain but he has overtaken his podiums. I don't think anyone will pass 9 wins as I think the competition is closer than ever but Lowndes is always at pointy end at the right time.

Lowndes is a great driver with great car control, but Brock did it in cars that handled like bowls of jelly. Different era, different machines but any way you look at it they are/were both bloody awesome to watch

Yep different era different cars. Brock was like 27 /28 before he win Bathurst. Drivers in there 30's are now considered too old!  I doubt anybody will surpass 9 wins imo.
Here for a good time, not a long time!

Remove the rose-coloured glasses boys.

He won about 6 in his own car. They changed the rules to stop his car-hopping.

Brock was an excellent driver, but he had a very un-savoury checkered history off the track.

Chill, Geof.   We are talking car racing here, if we followed your line, we could not have any sporting heros.

I don't think Warnie ever bashed his wife, or shafted his brother or his best mate.

Ask Colin Bond what he thinks about PB........

Yeah bit hit. 4 marshells injured also. The marshells jumping clear reminded me of the bill brown roll over at mcphillamy all this years ago.

Hi Oldmate,  you must be as old as me...LOL
