Good morning from the High Country
« on: April 24, 2014, 09:45:43 AM »
Hi everyone.
I've been stalking this forum for the past few months and thought it's time I introduced myself.
My name is Matt, and my wife and 2 little girls have recently moved to Mansfield from the Goulburn Valley.
We have been looking at campers for the past few months, but haven't decided exactly what we want. When you're looking at spending a fair bit of money, you want to be sure.
We are just about to purchase a 4x4 so that we can start exploring our new home. The beat up old Camry just can't get to some places. LOL.
Anyway, thanks to everyone on here for the fantastic information sharing. It is invaluable for newbies like me.
Cheers

Matt

Hi Matt and welcome, l will jump in before Lost and suggest you POP down to our upcoming Knockwood weekend, there will be quite a few of us there, its on the 16th 17th of May. You could just POP over for a couple of hours of stay the weekend if you like

Welcome to myswag.  I spent more than 12 months searching, visiting shows and asking questions before I bought our Customline.  Ask any questions as I'm sure somebody will have an answer  :D

Happy camping

Thanks for the welcome's guys.

macca, I was really keen to pop down to Knockwood to say g'day and meet a few of the members, but we've got 2 bloody birthday's on that weekend, and we're organising the Million Paws Walk on the Sunday in town.

I'll be keeping my eyes open for the next get together.

Cheers
Matt

Welcome to the forum Matt and Family.  good luck in your search for your perfect camper it is all part of the fun.  Get to the shows and to the manufactures workshops/showrooms try them all out, try to picture yourself in them and ask heaps of questions on here, theres plenty of info about.  After all that go out and buy yourself a customline ;D ;D

Hi Peter,

We took the kids for drive over your way last weekend. Took them for lunch by the river at Jamieson, then to the kevington pub for a look. Then back home via eildon and Alex.
It was a nice drive and filled in the day.

Matt.

Hi GG,
We ended up with a 2008 Patrol, that may or may not have been seen a fair bit on this forum.

Hopefully its a good buy. I'm happy with it.

I'm as excited as a fat kind in a lolly shop at the minute.

Cheers
