2010 Isuzu Dmax,
« on: January 14, 2016, 08:10:55 PM »
Well you seem like a pretty knowledgeable bunch so what's the general consensus on the above mentioned vehicle?
Have the opportunity to get a great deal on one and just want a few opinions and hopefully first hand experience with them.
It will be the "second" car as we are keeping the patrol as the main touring vehicle and will sell the Corolla. Just looking for a ute and something a bit bigger than the Rolla.
Basically it will be left fairly standard and used for day to day driving work, bunnings etc... And only easy beach 4wheel driving to save the kids and dog  from filling the patrol with sand and sandy toy

Good or bad choice?

We have a 2010 and its a great ute. SWMBO drives it to work as I have a work car. Have had 0 issues with it. I'd recommend them.
SWMBO reminds me of a Prodigy song....

Wife's uncle has one. Bloke over the road here has one. Both blokes are very savvy mechanically.

They're a good thing.....

I had an 08 Colorado auto (they were essentially the same back then). Most reliable ute I ever had. 6 years as a company car getting belted on and off road. Replaced a suction control valve - $150 which were known to be faulty and were changed by the time the 2010 version came out I believe.
