Tow pro elite switch mounting positions
« on: April 03, 2019, 07:10:05 PM »
As the title says, where did you mount the little dial button control for your tow pro elite. Pros and cons
I have an Amarok, on my old one I mounted it under the steering wheel towards the centre of the car.
Pros close to driver
Cons, hard to see while driving for adjustment and did accidentally change the setting with my knee on occasions
Trying to decide new location on the new car and am having it fitted tomorrow

I have mine (in a Triton) mounted in a spare switch space behind my steering wheel. I can’t really see it  without moving my head because the wheel spoke blocks it when straight but i dont find that to be an issue as i can easily reach it and don’t actually change it that often.

I knocked mine often enough to be annoying with it being on the right hand side, lower of the steering wheel. My knee swiped it getting in and or out of the landbarge.

Had mine installed in the Amarok last week. Probably not the best place (installer picked it) but it will never get knocked. It’s at the height of the windscreen wiper stalk and about the end of the stalk. You need to move your head to the right a bit to see it.

I have mine next to the headlight adjuster in the Rok... Cheapest panel to replace if you pull out the towpro at any stage - about $30
