You will also need a guide to where the Satellites are located as a compass bearing from your location.
As well as know the angle of tilt of the dish, for its alignment, from your position when using it.
If its a simple meter, it will just tell you there is a signal.
It won't tell you which Satellite it's looking at.
There are Satellite locator sites on the Web.
They also give the footprint of the Sat. Broadcast area on the Earth's surface.
This info. should also have been given to you by your Satellite service provider.
