"It’s a tale of great mateship, rebellion, bravery, and tragedy. The actions of the mine’s workers are even said to have rewritten the industrial rules for miners around the world. Josh McMahon recounts with those who were there the extraordinary events of the mine in the 1970s, which for surviving workers are still very much alive in their minds today."

I went to the 2013 meet, and I used to work with an ex Nymboida worker.  In my 40yrs in coal mines, I had it easy compared to those blokes....really was a hard life in the old days !!

Hi mate,
You were at Silverton 2011, just before heading to Wilmington, did you visit the tours in Broken Hill?
Yeah, not an easy life, many lost theirs.

Yeah, I didn't visit the one near Silverton, but other paces we visited would have a small presentation of mine life.
I can understand why you wouldn't.
