Title: Show us your “Ute tub” setup

Hi All,

Recently have the need to setup a dual cab tub for extended trips and was wondering what everyone else has done ?

So what I am thinking so far is ....
Ute lid
Rack on lid
Dual batteries and air compressor mounted in tub
Dual custom slides that pull out the full length
60l fridge
Water ?
Custom boxes ?

Can you get a canopy? Once you put the fridge in half the storage space will be gone. Fridge height is a major consideration with respect to fitting a lid and also the fridge slide design.

Wife wants to keep the sports bars .... rule number one ... lol

Canopy gives more covered space but look ugly .... imho ... not convinced they are more functional plus to put stuff on the roof is a pain.

Did a cape trip in a dual cab with canopy And could barley fit 2 blokes stuff in !!!! Yeah we take a heap of gear .... 2 swags etc

Cheers forgot about GTs setup will have another look at that for ideas.

Oh ... rear seats will be coming out on big trips and all electrical gear will be mounted behind them ... minus batteries.

Yeah .... long story but road rule changes in QLD means my car that was legal for 15 years is now illegal with out getting some tests done and no one has passes on muddies. It also needed some tlc .... don’t have the room or time for another project and want to get off road .... so yeah “LUX” life for me .... lol
