Did this a couple of weeks ago while in Lockdown.
Modified the Titan draw/fridge slide so it drops onto the 80's tail gate.
Karen can easily get me a beer now  ;)
There is vid on Youtube that shows how to do it.
Remove the second roller bearing, cut the draw face to allow the fridge side to lower on to the tailgate.
About an hours work, just need to tidy up the cuts.
You don't use magic to disappear, all you need is a 4wd & a Swag ;)

You having any luck with this yet?
When you say doesn't want to cooperate, what are you doing, and what does it do, or not do?
Can you access the drive and see that it has contents in it?
Is it a drive from a laptop, or and external drive?
Tried any Live boot USB rescue progs on it yet?

The pc is about 8 years old and still ran things ok untill windows 10 started playing funny buggars about a month back so tried a repair, bad bad bad move  :'( should have known better after all these years. Being that old the bios can only boot from cd/dvd or hd.

Ran Gparted (live cd) booted fine from that, found all the partitions etc and even told me that I needed to run chkdsk  /f

BUT it didn't tell me just how to do that when the pc won't boot into windows or from a windows cd/dvd

Firstly, be very careful using GParted. You can easily make any rescueable data gone completely if you aren't careful.

OK, can you dismiss the prompt and use the other functions in Gparted? If so, you could try this:
https://gparted.org/display-doc.php%3Fname%3Dhelp-manual#gparted-attempt-data-rescue

Failing that, there are a number of other live boot CD isos that have Data Rescue apps/progs on them. They mainly use a Linux distro of some type.
https://techtalk.gfi.com/top-5-free-rescue-discs-for-your-sys-admin-toolkit/

Haven't tried this, but maybe OK:
https://www.lazesoft.com/lazesoft-data-recovery.html

They all have their own funny quirks, so read up well before you do anything to the HDD. Again it is easy to make any data gone forever.
Also, depending on the size of the drive, the amount of data, and the reason it's unaccessible,  it can take a very long time to scan the disk.

Personally, I'd try rescueing data before trying any boot recovery, or partition recovery. And make sure you direct the recovery to an external USB drive of some sort, not the drive in question. So you'll need a large size external drive.

Thank Troopy I have used Gparted before , but mostly for partition settings, not for recovering data, bit of reading to be done here now

So I finished the bird boxes (painted the lids) booked a cherry picker to hang them up tomorrow. To save time tomorrow I walked around this afternoon and worked out which box will best fit each tree, and placed the boxes at the foot of each tree ready to go up in the morning. Came inside to make a cuppa and Mrs Spada starts getting excited and tells me to look out the back... Seems the Rosella's are a bit impatient  ;D

Spada, have you got some closer pics of the pine that is screwed to the back of the nesting boxes and how the spring and wire setup is attached?

This is how it looks when they're hung Paceman. Shows how the timber batons and springs work to stabilize the nest box against the tree trunk. They've been up less than 24h and already a pair of Eastern Rosellas have been checking a few of them out and a pair of ducks look like they might have claimed one  :D

I was hiring a cherry picker yesterday to give some trees a haircut, and while I had it I hung the 13 bird boxes in different trees around the yard. The trees I trimmed are 3 gums that are close to the house and a gum the was leaning over the pizza oven. Just trimmed the crown of each tree down to about house roof height. What I thought was a light trim still gave me a decent pile of timber for the firepit & camping trips. I'll let it dry out a bit before I split it.
