made an extension cable for the trailer Anderson plug. cheap 200 A jumper leads cut off the clamps and fitted anderson plugs.
and you get a handy carry bag.

Good job :cup:. Often thought of this myself but was never sure of the cable thickness and if they would fit into the plugs

Hi all,
This thread reminded me of a place I came across about 20-25 years ago,  out somewhere around Picton / Camden way from memory. It was an old homestead that had workshops that taught old traditional trades. : blacksmithing, wheel wrighting, coach building, saddlery etc. They were into old machinery big time as well and restored old traction engines.
Does any one know of the place I am referring to and have a name, and if it still exists.
Love to revisit it when we get over there next year.

I recall hearing about a place out Camden way but not sure where it was & didn't find anything on google about the workshops.

These are the ones I know about.

Around 1985/86 I would spend weekends here demonstrating blacksmithing but no courses were run here. It was no where as commercial as it now seems to be. http://theapv.org.au/village/

Not sure when this became a private enterprise but this was the old railway workshops where I spent part of the 4th year of my apprenticeship in 1973.  https://eveleigh.works/
I recall there was a pub right beside one of entrances to the workshop, which we would visit at lunch times.

Finally fitted a new male engel plug and fuse holder to my waeco fridge cord and the female end to the 240-12 volt  invertor from when my original plug tip melted.

Had the parts for over 12 months :o

Just need to neaten up the hole with a file on the inverter to make it a neater fit.

Fridge has been running for 4 hours now and hasn't blown up yet ;D:cup:

Cheers, Chris

I attacked my choofer today with a angle grinder, been planing on doing this for a while.

The hole will need a bit of a tidy up later on.

Put a bit of 1/4” punch plate on the inside rack for a heat disperser.

first go with the new gas ring fitted.

Repaired the output exhaust pipe on the muffler. It had let go completely, and was rattling something chronic 🙉. Using a stick welder made this job touch and go (as just touching would burn holes like you wouldn't believe). No photos, sorry, too ugly to display, but effective nonetheless 🙂🙂

Having built  " A Pig " l have had to Reconstruct  the shed to make it work .
Over the last 6 years l have created space to accommodate new machines .  This hasn't involved thinking about the end result .
Pig , requires a certain amount of space to function , with out a CFA call out    This weekend benches have been moved  & stuff has been tidied  :-[
There is a new Shed happening , happening  here .
l love the challenge & kick myself for not having done it earlier  , but why would l have to .
As the outside temp dips l can heat the shed to a few Deg above 0 as required .
You wouldn't be dead for quids  would you     :cup:

Yeah, its friggin hard, taking the pictures.... placing at ad on here.... getting paid for ya stuff.... yeah, I see your plight.

it all started for me when I was doing the Caddy in the shed, I looked at the 2 Honda Gennies and thought, I should start them.. its been a while.
We ended up selling about $3,500 worth of gear that was just sitting there and still would be in another few years.

The only thing left to sell is the 3 way fridge. I still don't understand why that hasn't sold, mint condition for $425.00.. its got me beat.
I DON'T CARE HOW NICE THE HAND SOAP SMELLS.....

actually we should commend Mr speewa for his ongoing standard here. He's the only one that's beaten the photobucket bean counters and doesn't have to go back and reload or resort all of his pictures on myswag.

It's think its the type/style of fridge. I was trying to sell the 40l version. Good condition, insulated bag, upgraded 12v, near new gas regulator. Got down to $150 before I pulled the ad. People want the simplicity of the compressor fridges.
