Are they nylon?
Personally I'd go canvas for strength and lasting... my Southern Cross rooftop bag is 15+yrs old and still going...

i'm not sure what they're made of. the ad isnt very descriptive

We have a bushranger that I cant fault.

thanks will look into them

Would be interested in reviews, thinking of buying some of these for all my annex canvas to throw in the roof basket on the 4WD.

FYI
Picked up a Ridge Ryder from supercheap on special and it seems ok. Didn't leak and after a fair bit of dusty roads there was dust on it (and inside the rear of the car) but none inside the bag.

I picked up one of these recently. How is everyone securing them to their racks? The straps that come with them dont look very stong, perhaps they are simply for stopping flapping of the bag? I have a pioneer tray rack.

The specs say - Tightly Woven Polyester with a PVC Lining.
Polyester is generally more UV resistant than nylon, but obviously not as good as Australian Canvas. Poly is also weaker than nylon when comparing apples to apples.

i bought one, and i find it great, i don't leave it on permanantly cause i doubt it would last, but as long as the water can't pool on it it doesnt leak.

I just realised how old this thread is!
