Title: Looking for a dual-fold camper
Post by: PaulA on July 19, 2018, 08:21:37 PM
Hi all, We are in the market for an off-road dual-fold camper to suit two adults and three teens, so preferably to sleep six. Have considered the new Air Opus, but reckon it's probably gunna be a bit a bit small for us. We are leaning towards a camper called the Glenaire from a Geelong company called Lumberjack.

Was wondering if anyone had any experience with either the Glenaire or Lumberjack, or if anyone has any other recommendations for a dual-fold off-roader - budget around 30K.

Hi. Thanks for that. Yep, we've had a look at the Robson but like the extra room (ie king size bed and queen size bed, as apposed to two doubles), plus the extra (third) battery offered by the Glenaire.

Camprite?

Hi. Thanks for the tip. Had a quick look online and not sure that the Camprites would be big enough. Appreciate you mentioning it though.

Would you really want to sleep inside a camper with 3 teens. Would they rather sleep outside in their own swags or even their own small dome tent. I know I would have when I was that age for sure so I could have had my own space.

Maybe something to consider as it may open up a much larger range of campers if you don't need the dual fold.

what he said.. thats what majority of people do in this situation.. either swags under the awning or a simple small tent.

I tend to agree with the others, chuck the kids outside in swags or a quick pitch tent(Oztent or similar).

Cheers Josh

Agree with that......

....but if they must all be inside, maybe Trak Shak?

Unfortunately (fortunately?) the kids are pretty adamant they want to sleep inside. Agree it would open up a lot more options if we got them swags
